The movers came yesterday to start preparing the house to move. All at once terrifying and exciting! Believe it or not, the first hole they hammered into the side of the foundation wasn't the hardest to take. It was the last! Seeing gaping holes every 4' or so in a stone foundation, any foundation, was a little un-nerving.
History channel is doing a series on structural moves and they selected our house as one of the stories! That's awesome! The crew has been there since Monday shooting the movers and interviewing us.
The move date is scheduled for late Monday night/early Tuesday morning the 20/21. I know everyone wants to see the move, but I can't figure out how to get people to the right places. I'm thinking anyone in the area that wants to come check it out should stop by Friday afternoon or Monday morning. That way you'll be able to see them pick it up and move it on the lot. If you do, it's probably best to park in the empty lot behind the house on Ten Oaks Rd.
