So today (Sunday) the crew took the day off but I gathered several faithful friends and family to help move a few tons of stone to the new site. Since this whole project is as much about saving a house as anything else Denise and I wanted to salvage as much of the foundation stone as possible.
We plan on using it mostly to build the piers for the re-vamped front porch, and anything left will hopefully be able to incorporate into the stone veneer we're doing on the new foundation.
Not many pictures of this day, too busy lifting rocks.
I definitely want to thank profusely Gary, Kevin, John, Ben, Denie, Dave, and Cameron for all of their help. It's pretty tough work lifting heavy rock in and out of pick up trucks, but some of them had a lot of fun I think throwing them back out at the other end.
