Moving A House!

So my wife and I are moving a house. Yup, a 3 story, 4200 sq ft classic colonial house. Gonna pick it up and move it 3 miles away to a new lot and restore it.

I was hoping to use this blog for two reasons. 1) to keep friends, family, and other old house fans apprised of the progress and 2) to keep friends, family and other old house fans apprised of when I'm working in case they're so inclined to help.

I find it hard to call people repeatedly for help on a project this size. It's one thing if you're talking about a work party to do some painting and cleaning before you move in. It's a whole other thing to be working 3-5 days a week, 10-12 hours a day for a few months.

I'm sure there will be a couple die hards that will give every opportunity they can, but I don't feel comfortable asking the same people for help constantly. If anyone has thoughts on how to approach this subject I'm happy to listen.
