Between tomorrow (Wed. 2/22) through Sunday I need to board up the
front windows, take down the "Dental" sign (we're keeping it for now,
maybe donate it to a local museum), and begin the tear off of the front
porch.
The roof is in complete disrepair, but that's o.k. because we want to
switch to a metal roof. All of the shingles, sheathing, joists
and bead board will need to be discarded. It's a shame, but at
least we'll be able to salvage most of the flooring, walls, columns and
floor joists/beams. The flooring is at least 3/4" tongue and
groove...gorgeous...so I hope I can save most of it.
I have two volunteers for Wednesday, but will gladly accept help
Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I'll probably hire one or two
general laborers for the heavier day on Friday.
