I'm beat up by now. I was so incredibly anxious coming through
the neighborhood. We had lots of obstacles still ahead.

The plan was we should be over top any mailboxes and shrubs on the
side, but there was one area with very tall juniper trees very close to
the road. Originally we were going to move on to the shoulder a
little bit to clear them, but then the house under construction
directly across from said junipers built a new brick mailbox.

We cleared the brick mail box, but wound up pushing the trees over and
scraping them up pretty good. The owner when I met him later was
very understanding remarkably, and said they could be repaired
later. He offered congratulations and commented on how much he
loved old homes. That was close.

It was about 2pm when we got to the lot, just before school bus' start
running again. We did tick off the mail person, though, I don't
know if they ever came back.

They drove the house down the ramp that was dug and into the oversized foundation hole.

Sadly, my battery ran down just as it got turned to it's final angle so
I don't have that picture yet. I'll go back this weekend and take
shots of it sitting on it's cribbing.
I think she looks fantastic on her new site! It really looks like she's been there all along.
A huge relief now. That was all the hardest part, getting from
point A to point B. Again we have to thank everyone who gave us
so much support and had faith that we could do it, even if they thought
we shouldn't. Family and friends are so important in a stressful
time like this. We'd also like to thank all of our new neighbors
that were so patient and understanding as they waited in their car for
a house to go by!
We're looking forward to getting started on the restoration and I'll keep the blog updated as that progresses.
She's home.
